A LOT has been happening as of late which explains my MIAness on blogging. I’ve been barely finding time to sleep let alone open my computer (especially after staring at one all day). There has been lots going on so I suppose I should give you all an update!
1) Amy moved in (and out) of my house…she needed a place to stay in between dorm life and her new pad. It was a fun couple weeks filled with cooking, tv marathons and some ‘interesting’ versions of pilates.
2) Adam started his new job
He is officially the Inside Sales Manager and is training to become an Outside Sales Rep for a company that makes custom welders. The company is based in Cleveland though which does present somewhat of an obstacle for the next few months. Luckily he is taking his last college class ever (yay!) this summer so he has to be here at least two days a week. So until he fully transitions to an outside sales rep (about 6 months) he’s spending most of his time driving between here and Cleveland. Once he’s officially in the field his territory will be Dayton-Columbus-Pittsburgh so I’ll be back to putting up with him on a daily basis
But it’s a great job, great experience and he really loves what he’s going to be doing so yay! Congrats on officially entering the real world.
3) Which somewhat leads me to more big news…since Adam is only going to be here 2 days a week and I just happen to have an extra bedroom…he has moved in. Shocker I know. BIG step I know. But economically it just really is the only solution right now. It seems silly for him to pay $650 a month for an apartment that he is only going to be at 10 days a month. Not to mention the fact that when he is down here in Columbus he spends most of his time at my house since the dog is here and obviously so am I. So it just makes sense and saves a ton of money. And the good news is that I still get to enjoy living by myself 5 days a week…talk about the best of both worlds!
4) Ricki is going to have (sob) his teethed cleaned this month. Which may not sound like big news to you but believe me…the bill will be BIG news to me. So all that money that Adam and I are saving? I think we just made the downpayment on our vet’s porshe.
5) I had my anniversary breakfast today. As of June 25th I will officially have been in the real world for an entire year. A WHOLE year.
6) And to add onto my anniversary news…I got promoted!! (yup saved the best for last) It is still very hush-hush because the role they are creating for me has not been officially announced company-wide but it is a GREAT opportunity…better than I could have EVER expected. Especially for someone just a year out of college. And it comes with a very nice raise…of which will most likely be used to pay student loans – yipee. But a pat-on-the-back for me none the less. The whole month of June has and will be extremely busy for me. I’ve been working 12 hour days lately since I spend a good portion of my day training and transitioning to my new position while trying to complete all my projects for my current role. Due to the nature of a couple of my readers I cannot disclose anymore than I have but once it is announced I will be sure to blog with full details.
So, all up-to-date now? I still have more I could fill you in on but seeing as I need to be up at 5:30 - I think I’ll go snuggle with Ricki and watch the season finale of Top Chef since I fell asleep during it last night. I’m all for Stephanie to win!

Go Stephanie! That show is the reason I’m thinking about trying to get cable again. Although that would have made more sense before the season ended. yes, I’m a dork who watches bravo now.
I was all for Stephanie, too… I’m SO GLAD she did it. And congrats to you on entering your sophomore year in the real world. Gosh you’ve done well!
